We observe that LGBTQ+ discrimination and unsafe situations unfortunately occur far more often than the statistics suggest, frequently based on gender, sexual orientation, or other personal characteristics. By reporting incidents, we gain insight into these issues, allowing us to take more targeted action and work together to ensure a safer society for everyone.

RITA was born from a collaboration between the Municipality of Amsterdam, The Diverse Agency, Studio FFF, and discriminatie.nl. They took action following a wave of reports regarding discrimination, exclusion, and violence in public transport and taxis. The parties worked together on several campaigns, and RITA has since grown into a broader platform focused on addressing insecurity and combating discrimination. We support those who have experienced such incidents by offering a listening ear and providing information. We track statistics to drive better policy, and we share stories from the community, along with tips and relevant information.
