RITA launched during Amersfoort Pride

We were proud to launch RITA during Amersfoort Pride. Together with the municipality of Amersfoort and our local partners, we are taking an important step toward a city where everyone feels safe and welcome.

It was a day filled with connection, visibility, and pride. Unfortunately, we were shaken shortly after by the violent incident in Amersfoort. Our thoughts remain with the victim and their loved ones.

This only underscores why RITA exists. Over the past period, we have received many reports from the Amersfoort region regarding discrimination and unsafe situations. It is painful to see, but it also highlights how important it is for people to know where they can turn for support and to share their stories.

We are grateful that more and more people are finding their way to RITA. Every report helps us gain a better understanding of what is happening and enables us to work with our partners toward a safer and more inclusive society.

The launch of RITA in Amersfoort therefore feels not only like a wonderful milestone, but above all as the beginning of a collective effort. Because everyone deserves to be themselves and to feel safe.
